And that picture is basically what I imagine when I try to fathom how most fans think of a love triangle involving FerrisWheelshipping.

The Joltik is just to help make some sense of it.

Black and Cheren, even Ingo sometimes, all fall under the same trap. The Jacob Blacks of the usual FerrisWheelshipper's mind. Simply added into the mix to add "drama".  Rarely added in order to give the participants of the triangle developement and growth, which should be the only valid reason to have a love triangle in the first place. But hey, this are all shallow twits, to them the concept of depth and detail is like the concept of advanced mathematics to the everyday Joe. Something they try to avoid.

Well, it isn't.

Yet  the idea of involving a love triangle with this pairing is most likely the recipe for fail (atleast basing it on the Twilight portrayal of the participants).

First of, there's Mr. Gropius.

Let's take a look at this fellow for a second. As I've said many times before. He is someone who can't really grasp the concept of romance. In order for a relationship in which he'd be involved in to work, it'd take far more effort on his partner's part. So if Hilda wishes for whatever there is between her and the man to grow, she'd have to help him understand and learn. She'd have to dedicate alot of effort for him.
That would already show that she is only interested in him.

And the fandom already has horrible trouble getting this little aspect right.
When you throw in the third player, it get's worse.

As I mentioned, a third player, a triangle, would only work if it's to develope the characters.

One way this can work wonderfully is by having the third player deeply care about her and think that the effort she's putting into being with N is not worthwhile considering how naive the fellow is, or something along those lines.

But rarely are reasons why anyone cares about anyone ever touched upon.

Now going into more specifics on the "Jacobs" of Pokemon Black & White. The only one that can really be spoken about is Cheren. Because Hilbert has no defined personality in-game and there isn't much to base Ingo on.

I HATE, DESPISE, how Cheren is usually portrayed. The guy does seem kind of like a jerk at times, but he's a well meaning kid. I haven't even come across ONE portrayal of him in a FerrisWheelshipping love triangle that doesn't make him look bad. NOT ONCE. He ALWAYS he loses to N. Is ALWAYS jealous. And always loses to the Edward Cullen knock-off interpretation of N, which makes it worse.

If Cheren where to lose it'd be because he realized that she isn't for him and would get over it, maybe the getting over process could take a while, but he would accept his loss. That's how Cheren is, he wouldn't hold anything against anybody. He may seem like a jerk, but he is a good natured kid, honorable too. This is basically what happens in-game with him accepting his views on strength.

So basing on how Cheren is, and his friendship with Hilbert in the various canons, I can only assume Hilbert himself wouldn't be far off on how he'd fit into the scenerio. Pretty much the same outcome too. So when I see him villanized it ticks me of aswell.

Ingo, the man seems like a decent guy, gloomy and/or serious, but mature. That's why I like about Expressshipping (Ingo/Hilda), it just seems like both are level headed and mature people. So if she doesn't love him, he'll accept it and move on, once again, as hard as it may be.

Soooo, why butcher realism and characterization for the sake of drama? Is our society really that dimwitted? That's what the success of Twilight makes me think. And when that mentality is carried over to Pokemon, I further think people have real problems on how they think the world works.
While I'm not fond of Checkmateshipping (nor Rebelshipping), I find it's fanbase is pretty respectable and nice, so this is in no way bashing or implying negativity on CherenXHilda.

Almost everyone knows I like Chessshipping, so I don't give a damn what you think I mean here on it. =P

Hell if there's anything you feel should be added feel free to share.

Also..Emmet is Emmet in that poster. xD

Image:
Pokemon is (c) of Ninendo and God aka Arceus the Almighty.

Twlight is (c) of Stephanie Meyer aka Satan himself.

EDIT: If anyone important on DA or something is like "WTF, why is this one the front page?". I'm asking the same thing.

>_>

I don't want any trouble. -_-;

EDIT: You know what. FUCK IT. I'm removing the damn picture. What was supposed to be an in-fandom thing became a circus attaction.

Man, do I agree with this wholeheartedly or what. I don't even ship Ferriswheelshipping that much anymore. In fact, my whole shipping chart for Pokémon is complete chaos. But this, man do I agree with it. Cheren does not deserve to be so antagonized by the Fetishwheelshipping fandom in any way. It also irks me personally because I ship Checkmate and Gen 5 is my favorite Gen of all time (shocking, I know). But I ship DualRival even more. Remember when I said my Pokémon shipping chart is chaos? Let that be my testament. But yeah, I similarly have never seen a Ferriswheelshipping fanfic that has portrayed Cheren in a remotely good light. 9 times out of 10 he'll be portrayed as an antagonistic asshole who happens to be getting in the way of twu wuv. Gag me with a fucking butter knife, it makes me want to vomit with rage every time I see it. Sorry for getting graphic there, but that's just how I feel. But seriously, fuck that. Yes, love triangles can be done right. But in no way are these fucking abominations done right. Who decided it would be a good idea to turn Pokémon into Twilight? Because I would like to have a "talk" with them. Oh, and don't even get me started on how White is portrayed in all of this. Seriously, DO NOT get me started. I am quite finished.
